With 1200+ lawyers, 300+ partners, 28 offices and 17 jurisdictions we are looking to expand our Talent Acquisition team, with the addition of a Senior Recruitment Manager - 12 month FTC.
The opportunity for you
As part of the Talent Acquisition leadership team, this role is responsible for delivering operational recruitment activities and supporting talent acquisition strategy initiatives across both Legal and Business Services in the UK, Ireland and the Middle East (UKIME).
You will play a critical role within the Talent Acquisition team, integral to embedding our talent acquisition offering across the UKIME. Alongside the leadership team, you will ensure that initiatives are activated and fully deployed—this includes promoting diversity in recruitment and elevating our employer brand in diverse communities.
Together with your direct reports, you will be accountable for evolving and delivering a 'best in class' recruitment experience for all candidates as well as internal and external stakeholders. Your leadership skills and deep expertise in recruitment will be highly valued, as you take ownership of all aspects of Legal and Business Services while also supporting broader talent agendas.
Success in this role requires striking a balance between commercial acumen, strategic partnering, trusted advisory capabilities, and operational excellence; ensuring high-touch delivery of recruitment services to all stakeholders. You will oversee talent acquisition efforts across all experienced career levels, excluding Interns, Apprenticeships, Trainees, and Partners.
Key responsibilities
Strategic approach, business partnering and service excellence
- Operate as an experienced legal talent acquisition subject matter expert and an influential trusted advisor at senior business levels.
- Ensure Hiring Partners and Managers are equipped with necessary tools, methodologies, technology, and knowledge to hire top-quality talent while adhering to Taylor Wessing processes, People Value Proposition, legislation, and best practices.
- Possess confidence and credibility to challenge and upskill Hiring Partners & Managers; guiding them to align hiring decisions with commercial requirements and firm values.
- Provide commercial yet pragmatic advice without compromising firm values or ambitions to be seen as an employer of choice by diverse communities.
- Foster collaborative relationships within Talent teams, broader firm functions, agency/vendor suppliers; adopting a solutions-based approach towards talent acquisition.
- Proactively manage senior business-critical or sensitive roles ensuring top-tier service experiences for senior stakeholders.
- Place candidate and stakeholder experience at the core of Legal and Business Services recruitment activities; overseeing evolution & delivery of full recruitment life cycle across UKIME; and ensuring seamless coordination between internal/external stakeholders throughout each phase.
Specific projects
- Utilising data driven insights and key metrics to continuously refine sourcing, hiring processes and both the hiring manager and candidate experience.
- Support the implementation of AI driven tools, championing utilisation across the team to enhance our end-to-end TA processes
- Champion and support evolution of interview frameworks and recruitment best practice to ensure consistency, fairness, and efficiency across the process
- Lead efforts in direct talent sourcing supporting the team in utilising available tools and platforms to identify, engage and hire passive diverse talent
