The opportunity for you

 

We’re looking for a Senior Associate (5+ PQE) to join our Real Estate team in London or Liverpool. You’ll advise on a wide range of commercial property matters, including leases, acquisitions, and development projects, often with international elements.

 

This role offers direct client contact, responsibility for complex matters, and the chance to grow your profile in a dynamic, agile environment. We value strong commercial instincts, excellent drafting skills, and a proactive approach to business development. Key responsibilities

 

  • Advise on and negotiate a wide range of commercial property agreements, including leases, agreements for lease, and sale contracts for freehold and leasehold sites.
  • Handle landlord and tenant matters such as licences to assign, underlet, and alter, as well as deeds of variation and rent deposit deeds.
  • Support complex transactions including conditional sales, portfolio disposals, and financing arrangements, working closely with planning, construction, and finance teams.
  • Manage multiple matters simultaneously while supervising and mentoring trainees and paralegals.

 

Knowledge, skills and experience

 

The following experience/skills are essential: 

  • Have a breadth of commerical property experience
  • Excellent analytical and drafting skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills ​and a commercial focus
  • A proven track record in business development, providing a high level of client contact and previous responsibility for client files.
