The opportunity for you

 

We are seeking an experienced Legal Automation and Prototyping Specialist who can lead the development of innovative legal technology solutions, enhancing our firm’s capabilities in delivering client-centric products. This role involves managing the end-to-end proof of concept (POC) development journey, collaborating closely with lawyers, clients, and business services to analyse requirements and design approaches that integrate emerging AI capabilities.

 

This new position is a remarkable opportunity to contribute to Taylor Wessing's ambitious growth objectives by simplifying complex legal processes through automation and productisation. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement in rapid prototyping methodologies and staying abreast of the latest trends in AI, automation, and low-code/no-code technologies.

 

Ideally, you will have prior experience in technical prototyping within legal contexts, familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), and a strong interest in AI/ML frameworks such as Azure AI Foundry. Exceptional problem-solving skills, stakeholder management abilities, and adaptability to agile environments are essential for this role.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Manage the end-to-end POC development journey, including analysis of requirements, prototyping and building exciting, client-centric legal technology products, to full-scale development or third-party acquisition 
  • Manage project delivery from requirements gathering through to POC launch and ongoing support
  • Work alongside our software development team to provide clients and internal users with a logical workflow and a delightful user experience
  • Work alongside our support teams to act as the primary escalation point for technical issues or queries related to automation and product solutions
  • Evaluate different tools and technologies (including Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate) to select the most appropriate solution for each use case
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of all solutions and workflows
  • Stay abreast of the latest in AI, automation, and low-code/no-code trends, enabling you to drive continuous improvement in rapid prototyping processes and methodologies

 

Knowledge, skills and experience

 

  • Delights in delivering solutions to legal users, with an obsession for simplifying complex legal processes through productisation and automation
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and a strong interest in AI and emerging technologies
  • Proven ability to build apps and automated workflows in Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Strong interest in AI/ML; familiarity with Azure AI Foundry or similar frameworks is a plus
  • Strong project management and organisation skills
  • Problem-solving & analysis: Keen aptitude for dissecting business challenges and evaluating technical feasibility
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of capturing requirements and presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Adaptable, comfortable working in a fast-moving, agile environment with shifting priorities
  • Experience collaborating with software developers to incorporate legal technology solutions into broader platforms (preferred but not required)
  • Basic understanding of product development life cycles, user-centric design, and iterative delivery
