Key responsibilities
Event Delivery & Strategy
- Create and deliver a wide range of internal and external events — including conferences, seminars, round tables, webinars, hospitality and international events.
- Manage events from planning through to completion, while supporting and guiding team members on shared projects.
- Support large-scale firmwide events such as partner conferences and international sector or practice group activities.
Brand, Collateral & Supplier Management
- Ensure all event and sponsorship collateral aligns with firmwide brand guidelines, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Source and contract UK and international venues and negotiate effectively with suppliers.
- Oversee accurate event budgeting, reporting and post-event financial reconciliation.
Data, Systems & Reporting
- Manage the CRM system to support targeting, invites and attendance analysis.
- Analyse event and sponsorship performance, identifying trends and ensuring the most effective strategies.
- Collaborate with the Digital team to promote events across the website, intranet and social media channels.
Stakeholder Engagement & Team Collaboration
- Work closely with practice groups, sector teams and BD stakeholders, advising on suitable event formats and opportunities.
- Be an advocate for best practice, applying strong project management techniques.
- Support the Events team operationally and provide guidance to Business Development Assistants.
Knowledge, skills and experience
Experience
- Proven track record delivering in‑person and virtual events across varying scales within corporate, legal or professional services environments (UK and internationally).
- Experience with event and marketing platforms such as Vuture and ON24.
- Strong supplier management skills, with experience working with UK and European vendors, agencies and venues.
- End-to-end budget oversight including invoice processing and ROI-focused post‑event evaluation.
- Expertise managing event collateral (agendas, invites, badges, schedules, travel, accommodation etc.).
Skills & Personal Qualities
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong stakeholder management abilities.
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working under pressure.
- Positive, supportive and diplomatic when managing expectations across internal teams.
- Flexible and willing to work outside standard hours during event delivery periods.
- A team player who embraces change and enjoys implementing new ways of working.
- Strong IT literacy across Microsoft Office applications.
