With 1200+ lawyers, 300+ partners, 28 offices and 17 jurisdictions we are looking to expand our Risk Management  team, with the addition of a Enterprise Risk Manager.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Lead on the development and implementation of a new Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks, including the production of the necessary policies and procedures.
  • Select and maintain an appropriate set of reporting tools.
  • Identify, assess, and monitor risks across the organisation in line with the ERM Framework in conjunction with the relevant stakeholders, to ensure they are effectively managed.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to integrate risk management practices into business processes. Build and maintain good relationships with all relevant stakeholders across the firm.
  • Assist with the preparation of risk assessments across the business where required.
  • Provide guidance on risk mitigation strategies and recommend improvements to internal controls where requested.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, regulators, and other third parties on matters related to enterprise risk management.
  • Contribute to an effective risk culture at Taylor Wessing.
  • Once the ERM Framework has been established, audit and review the Framework on a regular basis to ensure it is being correctly used and adding value to the business.
  • Report to management as required on risks affecting the business and how they are being addressed.

 

Knowledge, skills and experience

 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, risk or finance or other related area;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in enterprise risk management within a professional services or corporate environment delivering successful risk management outcomes.
  • Good experience of risk management frameworks and processes
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal; capable of presenting complex information clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to independently manage time and complex projects.
  • Ability to lead and deliver change within areas of responsibility.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with risk management software is advantageous.
