Position summary

 

We are looking to recruit an ambitious Associate to join our IP, Technology & Regulatory team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to work at the intersection of innovation, regulation and dispute resolution, advising leading businesses in fast‑moving sectors such as retail, sport and technology.

 

Working closely with partners and senior colleagues, you will be exposed to high‑quality, often high‑profile work, supporting clients on complex legal issues that shape brands, products and business models. The team is collaborative, forward‑thinking and known for delivering clear, strategic advice in challenging and evolving regulatory environments.

 

Position responsibilities

 

  • Advising clients on a mix of intellectual property, technology and regulatory matters, both contentious and non‑contentious
  • Supporting work relating to brands, digital assets, technology arrangements and compliance issues
  • Assisting with disputes and investigations that may progress through the courts or regulatory bodies
  • Building trusted relationships with clients by delivering pragmatic, commercially focused advice
  • Working closely with colleagues across the firm on multi‑disciplinary matters
  • Contributing to the continued growth of the practice through knowledge sharing and business development activity

 

Experience, skills, and qualifications

 

  • A qualified solicitor with solid post‑qualification experience (PQE) in IP, technology, regulatory or disputes work
  • Strong technical foundations combined with commercial awareness
  • An interest in working with clients operating in innovative, consumer‑facing or technology‑driven sectors
  • Confidence managing matters and working collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate legal advice into practical outcomes
  • A proactive, curious mindset with an appetite to develop your practice
