With 1200+ lawyers, 300+ partners, 28 offices and 17 jurisdictions we are looking to expand our Talent Operations team, with the addition of a Talent Advisory Assistant.
The opportunity for you
The Talent Advisory Assistant role is part creative team that supports our people strategy in encouraging talent to flourish. You will be a part of our Talent team, which currently comprises of 46 people split between Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and Talent Advisory functions. We operate a one-team approach and you may be required to assist in other areas of the team, within the scope of your level and experience.
Responsible for your own business area, you will work closely with one other Talent Advisory Assistant in this role.
Key responsibilities
- All HR administration duties, including preparing and issuing contract changes, confirmation of probations, family leave, and other documentation as required.
- Maintaining and updating our HR database and ensuring that all trackers are accurate.
- Supporting across the team to deal with day to day queries.
- Supporting process improvement activity across Talent Operations.
- Daily administration of our Talent Support Inbox including:
- Responding to queries.
- Actioning reference requests.
- Competent working in Excel to enter, manipulate and report upon data.
- Assisting in the ongoing review of our Talent policies and procedures.
- Processing invoices and payments and ordering flowers, long service awards and other gifts.
- Supporting other Talent Assistants with general administration tasks as required.
- Initiating PowerPoint presentations and drafting documentation.
- Payroll and Benefits administration duties.
- Any other duties as reasonably required.
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Hands-on approach and willingness to help across a multi-site team.
- Ability to prioritise work, be highly organised and manage multiple projects.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Cultural awareness.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
- Proof reading skills.
- Excellent people skills (including influencing) – need to liaise with broad range of stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with strong influencing skills.
- Work well and effectively under pressure.
- Team player but able to work under own initiative.
- Flexible and accommodating. On occasions there will be the need to work outside of normal office hours at events or to travel to our other UK offices.
- Computer literacy: including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Creative with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm.
- Customer service orientated.
