PMO Support Officer -14 months FTC

The opportunity for you

 

Join us at the heart of our biggest programmes and help shape how we deliver change across the firm. As our PMO Support Officer (14-month FTC), you’ll become a key support partner to programme and project managers, making sure plans are in place, risks are captured, and everyone has what they need to deliver effectively. You’ll be supporting complex workstreams , including our AI Programme and you’ll help keep the pace up as priorities shift and new initiatives come to life.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Administrative Support: Provide Programme Managers and Project Managers with support with day-to-day administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
  • Programme Coordination: Support the programme manager and project managers in coordinating project activities, tracking progress, and managing project timelines.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain and update project documentation including project plans, RAID logs, budget workbooks, ensuring all records are accurate and accessible and using the Change Delivery Framework templates.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular project status reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks by maintaining risk logs and tracking mitigation actions.
  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication between project teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the implementation of a new Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool for the firm, helping the programme managers and project managers input their data into the tool.

 

Knowledge, skills and experience

 

  • PMO experience and delivering support to programme teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in PMO governance processes (as these relate to providing support to programme teams as opposed to portfolio management) and following structured project delivery processes.
  • Knowledge of PMO and project methodologies.
  • Knowledge of MS365 tools, including MS Project and MS Planner.
  • Strong, creative problem-solving skills.
  • Effective organisational skills.
