With 1200+ lawyers, 300+ partners, 28 offices and 17 jurisdictions we are looking to expand our Finance team, with the addition of a Finance Systems Support Analyst (6 month FTC).
The opportunity for you
This is a unique opportunity Join our Finance Systems Team within the Finance Department during a particularly busy period with several high-profile projects landing in early 2025.
The primary focus will be assisting with the deployment of a new Invoice to Cash application designed to centralise invoice distribution and drive efficiencies in cash collection through AI.
There may also be the opportunity to get involved in other Finance projects dependant on workload on the ITC project.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop process requirements.
- Develop an advanced understanding of new applications and advise on configuration.
- Developing an understanding of current invoice despatch processes across the firm and how these can be improved by using technology.
- Working with the credit control team to develop chasing strategies using technology.
- Execute project tasks as required and deliver them promptly.
- Participate in regular project meetings, providing real-time updates on issues as necessary.
- Produce high-quality project documentation where needed.
- Assist with configuring and reconciling data flows between the practice management system and new applications.
- Undertake systems testing with an eye for detail and provide detailed feedback on any issues.
- Other project tasks as required.
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Proven experience working within finance systems or IT support roles within a law firm or similar professional services environment.
- Knowledge of credit control procedures and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders including finance teams, IT departments, and external vendors.
- Familiarity with the Aderant practice management system or similar legal practice management systems.
- Experience working with Invoice to Cash solutions such as Sidetrade or equivalent platforms.
- Proficiency in understanding data integration processes between different software applications.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software technologies.
