With 1000+ lawyers, 300+ partners, 29 offices and 17 jurisdictions we are looking to expand our Finance  team, with the addition of a Finance Systems Analyst - FTC.

 

Meet the team

 

The finance systems team consists of a Head of Finance Systems, Senior Systems Accountant Reporting Analyst and 3 Systems Analysts. The team sits within the finance function but works closely alongside most business support teams, practice areas and overseas offices.

 

The team supports a variety of systems and as such there is a varied, interesting and challenging workload on a daily basis. It provides a great opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your work will be at the forefront of maintaining and developing essential systems for supporting the business.

 

The opportunity for you

 

As part of a financial systems support team, this role will assist in the day to day maintenance of the finance systems, both locally and across jurisdictions supported by the UK team. The role will also provide support and query resolution to the users of these systems. This role has the opportunity to get involved with firm initiatives such as reporting, analysis and also project work implementing new applications and developing existing ones.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Finance systems support and trouble shooting
  • Business process review and continual improvement
  • New application review and implementation
  • Project work
  • Client and matter data analysis and housekeeping
  • 2nd line Billing support
  • 2nd Line Time recording support
  • Overseas offices systems support

 

Secondary responsibilities for this position will include:

  • Ebilling support
  • Development of alerts
  • Standardisation of SQL queries and reports
  • Security management
  • Application testing
  • Creation and amendment of tables / columns in the database
  • Reviewing scheduled tasks
  • Training users
  • Workflow configuration, administration and troubleshooting
  • 2nd Line support to systems queries via the helpdesk

 

Knowledge, skills and experience

 

  • Experience using Aderant and IntApp applications or equivalent systems
  • Knowledge of Chrome River, Access Pay and eBillingHub or equivalent systems
  • Knowledge of legal billing and associated Solicitors Regulation Authority rules
  • Working knowledge of SQL queries (experience of using the Aderant database will be an advantage)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience in business process analysis
  • Exposure to project work and managing timescales
  • Experience of developing test cases and plans
  • Ability to research issues and problem solve in a methodical manner
  • Willingness to learn new applications and technologies and assess potential benefits to the firm
  • Experience working within professional services is preferred
  • Able to communicate effectively with support and fee earning staff at all levels
  • Able to produce documentation and guidance in user friendly language
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Able to be proactive, and to prioritise effectively where necessary
  • Strong attention to detail
