With 1200+ lawyers, 300+ partners, 28 offices and 17 jurisdictions we are looking to expand our Corporate (Ireland) team, with the addition of a Corporate Senior Associate - Ireland.
Meet the team
The Corporate group of Taylor Wessing Ireland specialises in venture capital, private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and equity capital markets. The team advises investors, companies and management teams on a wide variety of venture capital and private equity transactions in various sectors, most notably the technology, life sciences and healthcare sectors. The practice also involves a significant amount of M&A and joint venture work, much of which is cross-border in nature.
Key responsibilities
- Advising investors, companies and management team on a wide variety of venture capital investments, M&A transactions and private equity transactions.
- Cross-border M&A and joint venture work.
- Advising companies at all stages of their lifecycle. Acting for many high profile investors - from prominent early stage funds and the biggest international venture capital firms to corporate investors and sovereign wealth funds – as well as many of them most successful early and growth stage investee companies across the world.
- Working internationally with Taylor Wessing’s teams in other major tech hubs, such as Silicon Valley, London, Berlin, Paris and Amsterdam.
Knowledge, skills and experience
- General M&A and VC experience from a top tier Irish, UK or international corporate practice.
- Exits including trade sales, mergers and IPOs.
- Seed capital and subsequent growth financing rounds.
- Start-up advice.
- Incentivisation and employee benefits.
- Tax structuring.
- Excellent academics and strong technical ability.
- Strong commercial focus and client management skills necessary to run with transactions with appropriate partner and junior associate support.
- Friendly, supportive, sociable individual with 'can do' attitude who enjoys their work.
- Ambition on a personal level and also for Taylor Wessing, an exciting new enterprise which they can join on the “ground floor”
- The role will suit candidates with strong people skills who enjoy a high level of client contact and who have had previous experience of assisting with large transactions. The team is dynamic and driven, with ambitions to capitalise on the high volume of transactional work.
