Our Dublin office has an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and ambitious Banking and Finance associate to join its dynamic and growing team and benefit from the strong platform the firm has already established in Dublin and internationally.

Key responsibilities

 

  • Assist in advising domestic and international clients (comprising, bank lenders, non-bank lenders and International and domestic listed and unlisted corporates, private equity funds and investment funds ) on a wide range of Irish and cross-border transactional debt finance matters including but not limited to general corporate lending, leveraged/acquisition finance, structured receivables based finance, asset based lending and real estate finance.
  • Provide regulatory advice on Irish financial services regulation.
  • Collaborate with other practice groups within the firm to provide comprehensive legal advice that aligns with clients' strategic goals.
  • Confidence in negotiating bilateral and syndicated facility agreements security documents, intercreditor agreements, and other related documentation, managing CP and closing process and working with trainees / paralegals.
  • Solid understanding of corporate lending and common security packages and be ready to challenge themselves working on transactions involving more complex and bespoke financing structures.
  • The role will have a high level of client contact and there will be strong involvement in business development

 

Knowledge, skills and experience

 

  • A qualified solicitor in Ireland with a current practicing certificate from the Law Society of Ireland.
  • 3-7 years of post-qualification experience in Banking & Finance Law at a reputable law firm or financial institution.
  • Strong technical knowledge of finance transactions.
  • Excellent drafting skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage complex transactions independently as well as part of a larger team.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to maintain positive client relationships
